Yes I did :)
Japan is a culinary paradise.
Strangest thing I ate was whale tongue sashimi.
Yes it was delicious.

God I'm jealous.
Hey Jake, it this recent film from Japan? I was wondering if it was after the earth quake and tsunami. What's your take on how they are doing over there? Did you see any major changes since the last time you were there? Specifically how the events changed the community you were in. Japan is one of those places I'm going to get to in the next few years.
Another great episode, Jake!! Keep them coming!
This was filmed right before the disaster. I left there 2 days before the tsunami. Fukuoka (where it was filmed) is far away from the disaster, but still, airports would have been a mess. None of my friends were affected in Fukuoka - just the emotional pain from all of the loss of life.
On the Japanese language news yesterday they were talking about how the disaster actually had one kind of good effect on people. Marriage rates are going up and people are finding a newfound appreciation for life considering how over 10,000 lost theirs in an instant.

Finally got to watch it and I immediately had to look up Okonomiyaki recipes. Great episode.
