I thought he slipped, like he did earlier in the fight, and Belfort took advantage of it. After watching it a few times he did tap him in the temple. There were definitely a few shots to the back of the head once Akiyama was down also. Those for sure put him out cold.

[QUOTE=Louis Ho;80714]Maybe it was just me, but I noticed that the punch that seemed to bring down Sexyama didn't even touch [QUOTE]
it was one of those obnoxious CLIPPING punches where it like SKIMS off your head not really doing damange but more along the lines of making you lose your balance SO COMMON when watchin fights

what i noticed it when he was down how vitor hit him right on the back of the head 2times before the end

Replay isn't fast enough to catch all of Belfort's punches.

It was weird, the whole finish of the fight. The punch barely
grazed him, and he never really recovered at all. And I would
like to bitch a little bit about those back of the head shots.
Just a couple fights before that, I watched Rory MacDonald
beat Mike Pyle from a similar position. He carefully places his shots,
had open shots to the back of the head, and did not take them.
He was patient enough to strike legally, and still clearly won
the fight and was very effective. You can't say Rory doesn't
have the same adrenaline rush that Vitor had, yet he was
professional about his fight and did not disrespect his opponent
by using illegal strikes and endangering him unnecessarily.
