Muito Obrigado meu amigos!
@Brian: For sure! Thanks for the invite!
@Eric: That's why I'm here! To join the 10th PJJ Movement! I see 10th PJJ as the Bruce Lee of grappling. Take what works and discard the rest! That's what I love about the 10th PJJ system. It seems that it's a blend of techniques from not just one grappling style or individual but from many! I still love the gi but I also love no-gi and the 10th PJJ Game. Although my root are in BJJ with the gi, most of my tournament medals are in No-Gi. I hoping to soon adapt the 10th PJJ game to my Gi game. Maybe do some videos on it. Hopefully it will create a stir in the gi only BJJ community and hopefully then they will see the effectiveness of the 10th PJJ game.
Thats weird my cousin just said to me the other day that he thought 10th planet was the jkd of grappling and now you basically said the same thing. My roots are also in Gi. I didnt really start doing no gi until about a year and a half ago. I did do a few no gi divisions at some naga tournaments over the years but never trained specifically for no gi until recently. I wish you the best of luck and hope you can open some more eyes;)
One thing I've been playing with is the London. I know it's been thrown out of the 10thPJJ system, I find it more effective with the gi. I beleive it's called the Shawn Williams Guard with the gi. In any case, I think the gi opens more options for attck and defense with the gi. So as far as cross training the techniques into one another, I guess I can start there.
Thanks Eric. I will try for sure!
