Hygiene. Don't stink even if your JJ doesn't! 10th planet Deodorant Please!

Here a related practical question. When cleaning my gis, I have tried oxyclean in the wash, febreeze 2x strength after, and even occasionally adding a little bleach, but there is always some remnant smell. It's not terrible, but as I sweat in training, it just comes out much faster, because it's already there to start. Is there a special detergent or spray or something that you guys use? Am I missing something? I clean my shit, but I don't want to be the smelly guy on the mats. Thanks in advance.

what a topic, to start out with on my 1st post. haha

I've had the displeasure of having to call out some people after practice...

I would walk out with them to see what they did with their gi.
I would than notice that they would bunch-up the stinky gi, and just throw it in the trunk.
I couldn't believe it, so I would ask if that was how they normally handle their uniform.
And, they would come up with some lame reasoning about how its too hard to keep up with the washing,
or how they'd just forget to take it out of their car.

That's when i would let them know, "Hey bro, don't ask me to roll with you anymore.
Your stink sticks to my gi, and nobody else wants to roll with me after that."

Can you believe it, I had people thinking their stink was mine. haha
I, also, encountered people with damp gis, they said they had not had enough time to air dry it.

I would let them know that one gi is not enough, regular practitioners need a couple, at least,
to cycle them through their workouts.

I get super anal about the smell thing because at this time i sweat a fair bit when training so everything is in the wash the minute i get home and out drying on the line right after

Same here. I have at least enough rashguards, sports bras and leggings to do a weeks worth of every class at the gym. The only problem is I only have enough shorts for one class per day. I don't have enough of those but I plan on getting a few more when I'm in California in December. It's hard to find my size. You can never have too much!

yo, I have 2 rash guards, that just smell like gasoline as soon as i start sweating. I shower, but GOD DAMN! as soon as i start sweating (which is almost instantly) These jawns smell like straight up pure alcohol mixed with nailpolish remover mixed with musky manliness. Litterally no fucks are given at that point. I guess ill do the vinegar trick or something.
