maybe, but it gives him credibility. I don't believe it would have gone viral if he was just a man claiming to be a marine without evidence to back it up. I also don't believe it would have gone viral if it was someone who wasn't a marine, because the protests are already full of people saying that the brutality is wrong. When it comes from a man who risked his life for the USA, and can prove it, it gives his words a little more power.
"I took an Oath that I live by. am NOT anti-NYPD. I am anti- Police Brutality. I am no longer under contract with the USMC so I do NOT have to follow military uniform regulations. I DON’T affiliate myself with ANY GROUPS or POLITICAL ORG. I affiliate myself with the AMERICAN PEOPLE that’s it. I REFUSE to affiliate with anything that SEPARATES. There is an obvious problem in the country and PEACEFUL PEOPLE should be allowed to PROTEST without Brutality. I was involved in a RIOT in Rutbah, Iraq 2004 and we did NOT treat the Iraqi citizens like they are treating the unarmed civilians in our OWN Country. No one was brutalized because our mission was to ‘WIN the hearts and minds.’ why should I expect anything less in my OWN Country." - Sergeant. Shamar Thomas

He accomplished nothing the police got him to move back to where they wanted him and then moved on. Also, every time they got close he lowered his voice and changed his tone. I support the other Marine in the video the one risking his neck to maintain order in the streets.
What do these videos prove? All I could see was a camera panning over to shit that was already in action. You take that video on the other thread where everybody supported the man beating two women with a pole, change the camera angle and start it exactly when he started hitting those bitches and give their account of the event and everybody on that thread would have had a different opinion on his actions. Think about it people!
yea, sure cops totally need to KO old women. or beat the fuck out of people who cant do anything across the protest line.Quote:

they are totally in the right, especially pepper spraying them.
Ya a man totally needs a pole to defend himself against two women and continue to beat them even when they are down. You commented on that thread you didn't speak out against him.
these are peaceful protesters. they are not punching cops in the face, and chasing them down to hurt them in an area full of knives and hot liquid. These things can't be compared dude, sorry. Protesting peacefully is not the same as hitting a random person in the face.
They are just protesting. That's it. So you are saying that these videos are being taken out of context? ok. Here are three different camera angles and the video starting minutes before they get peppersprayed. Show me the part where these women attack the cop. I'm listening.
