I always root for kid out of pure nostalgia but when he was caught in crackhead control, I had the biggest fucking grin on my face. :)

And that's the point. Some people act like RG doesn't work because guys don't always finish from there. That's retarded logic. If that's the case, guard doesn't work either because guys don't always finish. Or back mount WITH the body triangle doesn't work because guys don't always finish. RG clearly works. In fact, it works better than closed guard because it consistently shuts down guy's GnP. Give it time man. Little by little, proper RG will become pretty common. It's part of the evolution of MMA.
