Hit up Bill near Indy or roll through the CHI whenever.
In his defense he was prolly drunk :)
Ok. What you're gonna wanna do is stoop to his level. Kick'em square in tha dick.
At least he messaged you. Some people around my area like to send out slanderous private massages. Ive learned if I cant ignore them they will piss me off to the point of doing something stupid out of anger. I thought , well why dont I just go around slandering them like they do me but that would just create a bunch of negative thoughts and actions that would lead to more negative crap situations. So I just let my teaching speak for itself. One school tried to recruit a fighter from my gym by getting his cell number off of facebook and trying to talk him into switching gyms. I told the student to do what he wants. He said he turned them down. I would almost rather they go check out other gyms so they could see that im teaching the good shit to everyone that wants to learn, no secrets, even if the gym looks like a ghetto dojo right now. I also believe highly in cross training instead of "you can only learn from us crap". To me it just holds back a fighters potential because they are insecure about them want to switch gyms(of course he turned em down). If they think they could be getting something better else where then whatever. If they are part of the team they will always come back. The smart ones know what time it is.
See what I mean. Just thinking about other peoples problems with spewing out negativity turned my own message into far more of a rant than I wanted it to be.
Im with Zog on the ignoring him. Dont let them pull you down into their out of control negative downward spiral(funny that they were talking about similar stuff on the Rogan podcast). Some of these Karate kid bully Cobra Kai 2.0 gyms seem to get bored when they have moneys. They find an enemy and rally together for a common cause like nazis or a lynching or something. If there gym was so awesome then why do they need to talk crap. They should be happy enough with all their accomplishments. Like Eddie said he couldve also tried to take out his drunken after a bad day anger on you until you took him up on his challenge and realized you were a real person.
Where do you guys find these people? Almost everyone I have ever know who teaches/practices gi/nogi jiujitsu around Los Angeles has been very respectful to other disciplines and styles. Not all of them had respect for their training partners or even themselves but I have not met anyone who would talk crap about Machado's, Rickson, rest of the Gracies, 10thP, Barra etc...
Im here in Vancouver and the head coach from Gracie Barra respects what we do out here and there is an open invite for any of my guys to go to his school and roll. A few of his students drop in and take my classes as well. Its really to bad you have to deal with that headache.
