Condit's gonna definitely dry hump his way to victory tonight.
Here's an incomplete list of Greg Jackson fighters in the UFC/Strikeforce along with their finish/win ratio:
Georges St-Pierre (13/22)
Jon Jones (13/16)
Gina Carano (4/7)
Nate Marquardt (23/31)*
Clay Guida (19/29)
Keith Jardine (11/17)
Jason MacDonald (21/25)
Brian Stann (9/11)
Carlos Condit (26/27)
Shane Carwin (12/12)
Joe Stevenson (21/31)
Donald Cerrone (14/17)
Yoshihiro Akiyama (12/13)
Leonard Garcia (12/15)
Diego Sanchez (15/23)
Diego Brandao (12/14)
John Dodson (7/12)
Tim Kennedy (12/14)
TOTAL: 255/336 ~=76% finishing rate among Jackson fighters in those two organizations
*No longer fighting under Zuffa, LLC, but included based on number of UFC fights in career
Obviously, these stats do not tell the whole story. I don't know when these fighters started training under Greg Jackson and what difference that made on their finish/win ratio.
Except George St Pierre, and somewhat of Rashad, I do not know any real boring fighters that fight under Greg Jackson camp. Garcia, Cerone, Condit, Guida, Jon Jones, Stann, Carwin, I mean com on man. In rashad's case it is something new and not very common, in St Pierre's case it is his own doing. I don't think Jackson's camp is making St piere fight boring. Believe it or not fighters choose the way they want to fight not their trainers or camps. Technically Condit and St Pierre are both Jackson fighters with completely different way of winning fights. At the same time, Jake Shields and Nick Diaz also share a camp and maybe more as life long buddies, where Nick has never been in a boring fight and Jake has never been in an exciting one. It is solely based on the fighters ability and current mental status. GSP does not want to lose his championship so he is Tim Sylviaing his way in to decisions using grappling.
Moral of the story, we need Randy Couture to come back from retirement, cut to 170 and beat the shit out of GSP, and then retire again.
So much saltiness on the forums. Hahaha.
Jackson fighters get knock out/submission/fight of the night often. You guys act like GSP is the only Jackson fighter. Condit is a killer. He just couldn't put away Diaz tonight. Guess what? Neither could a ton of other KO artists. Stop it. Jones seems to do nothing BUT finish fighters. Brian Stann goes for the kill. Diaz is an animal. The list goes on.
Sometimes people just like to look for something to whine about even when it's not there.
Killers don't run.
Dana White thinks the same and he's the UFC president but you should write him an email and tell him to stop hating on Greg Jackson and his camp lolQuote:
