I used Escape from Alcatraz on a dude that out weighed me by 100lbs in the Absolute Division. He wasn't fat just a beast. I use Gitmo and the Reaper as well all the others.

Always liked the "Escape from Alcatraz" against the larger guys. I'd post the YouTube video but the last time I tried to get creative online I had to buy a new computer...
pick one or two that seem to work the best for you and use them as warm-ups before class with a training partner...
your weight shouldn't matter at all thats probably cause your trying to bench press dudes off you. learn this one or any variation and you wont have any problems again. just push on the knee with your elbow to get back to halfguard basically. it takes alot of practice though cause you gotta feel alot since you cant see your legs when you are mounted.

deep half escapes are money. you described getting armbarred when pushing down on the knee? what are you doing when pushing down on the knee? i pimp arm to lockdown all the time and it only takes like 1 second. i find it pretty safe.
