Honestly I wasn't watching it with sound and I didn't know where the points came from until I reviewed it, shouldn't have been a takedown imo, Hall kinda stood up to try and get his back but failed and then just kinda sat back down. But that's the points game for you.Quote:

Of course Rader wouldn't fair well in a Blackbelt Submission only Tournament! His game is totally based on points. He's perfect for IBJJF tournaments.
I think Rader deserved to win. Ryan Hall absolutely refused to take part in the standup, which is a big part of Rader's game, but Rader was able to deal with Hall where he was best.

I don't compete and I find watching the average JJ tournament really boring, but I think submission only tournaments are definitely the way to go.
