Gettin perpendicular is definitely the answer, but it can be so hard to get on some one who is bigger or stronger with badass posture. Gotta combine my bird and icepick dipset style i think.

What a great attack combination. As it has already been mentioned, I always use the Hazelett against strong guys who hold my omaplata off by posturing. I find hooking under the chin almost like a Hazelett variation without holding the left wrist in place. I then sit up and start butt scooting backwards straightening the arm for the submission (armbar). This is very high percentage for me most days.
Awesome thread. I recently dropped about 30 pounds to get to 155-160 range and am learning that being a lightweight is a completely different ball game. Its taking some time to get used to being picked up and bench-pressed so much.
