Does anyone have any suggestions on how to track students to be sure they are paying?

haha I know you fill like you are getting fucked but they're not in "rears" they are in arrears;)

Sign up for mindbody, they charge way less commission than any other card billing systems and its really easy to keep track of who is current.

Just have someone sit up front and sign people into classes, if they aren't current it'll immediately let you know. You can also set up direct deposits and sell merch through it.

thanks Ken, We currently have an auto checking acct deduct and credit card auto bill set up but you would not believe how many folks do not have a credit card or checking account around here, It's like we have turned back the hands of time around here. Asfint.com works well all kinds of report options to track stuff
you can do weekly monthly quarterly and you can run a proshop thru it
