Joe lost his 3rd Match on points to the Division champion. However, this is his 4th match for 3rd place.
Joe has asthma and was quite literally out of gas before this match even started. He found himself on the bottom of side control at the end, and still managed to dig deep and find the heart to come from behind and submit his opponent. This was my favorite match of the day, as it embodies the philosophy and the struggle of jiu jitsu as a whole :)

And here are Joe's matches from Atlanta NAGA earlier this year. Sorry about just now getting these up. Kid is gonna be a super star, so I want to share them. He had 4 submissions and wiped out the men's intermediate division. He had only been training about 6 months at this time.
