I think Glover.
That's why I asked for competition vids. I've seen some youtube instructionals from Pablo, but I feel like others are better at it. And I haven't seen him use it effectively in competition. Looks like he didn't have it locked in because Galvao was preventing it pretty well and once he almost had it, Galvao was already attacking his foot. Not taking anything away from Pablo. I just haven't seen him use it often.
I'll try and find some footage myself.
the best place is to see him start in guard on his extra in his dvds. but yea i guess it hasn't been proven in competition yet its still relatively new, but like practicality wise it makes total sense. its the same with his z guard guard game too, its tough to see him using it because he is rarely on his back. but i can tell you a couple of us have been using it and vs traditional deep half vs the more advanced guys and its a hell of a lot better.
Faria probably has the best DHG in BJJ, but it's really so dependent on the lapel grips that I don't think he would do as well with nogi.
pablo's no gi guard secrets - it came out around christmas. not be confused with the old no gi exposed dvd cause that will come up on alot of the searches.
DHG is not new at all and is absolutely proven in competition.
Yeah Faria comes to mind to me too. Jake Mackenzie's deep half is very cool. I think Hall easily has the best instructional on the topic. Glover's set is cool, but he doesn't explain very much, he pretty much just shows some moves, mainly stuff off the single leg/Homer Simpson sweep.
