My vote for Nibiru Warrior of the year has to go to my Maestro John "The Force Yoda" Botello. My reasons are simple. Since i came to 10th Planet Phoenix to visit last year. He has always been the same person. Never changed! I'm a people watcher and I'm always listening and like i said he's never changed. Some cats get you in there door be cool with you and when you're in they change like a hookers trick after he gives her the cash, but not J. Tello. John made my transition into 10th planet seamless!! He's always there and always gets back to you if you have any issues.
In my most recent journey I went to the Midwest submission challenge (Submission Only). I told John I wanted to do this tournament because I love this style tournament. He said "Hell yeah man!" "Do It!" "Make sure you get in the gym and train bro." Over the course of the next month I did just that! At least 3 days a week. By the time it was time for me to roll to Omaha and get it in I lost 25lbs. I had super confidence rolling in and it showed because D'Ante' "Cocaine Biceps"/"Thor Muthafuckin" Molecules Woodard went in and took 1st place in my bracket and had the endurance and confidence to go into an Intermediate match that lasted 6:45 minutes!! It was all because Of Maestro Yoda and my phoenix Nibiru brethren putting me through the fire to help me go into a battle and be victorious!
John still competes and is at every single tournament to coach his students through their matches. He loves the system and is always helping each of his students get better in the system. Not just by forcing each step but letting each of his students evolve on their own. I'm super proud to have John Botello as my instructor through my 10thpjj journey! Sometimes the universe just pulls you right where you need to be!
That why my choice is for [I][B]John Maestro Yoda Botello[I][B] of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Phoenix for Nibiru Warrior of the year!
D'Ante' "Cocaine Biceps"/ "Thor Molecules" Woodard
Hahaha! The nickname is the buisness brotha! Derek is a massive genius!
Whoa! Magnus is now threatening! Dewitt, Botello & Ant are in a real race now. Still 4 months left tho :-)

hahahaha Im flattered!! Im just doing what I love "Jiu Jitsu". Its nice to see the european 10th planet family moving forward and I feel that we haven´t even started yet , in a few years we will see many new 10th planet super stars from Europe.
The bad thing with this retarded continent where its almost impossible to make a living from Jiu Jitsu, Im so impressed with all the Bulgarian,Hamburg,Burmingham and Grimsby 10th planet crew who is doing everything to survive.
I beleive there´s people more worthy of the title "Nibiru Warrior of the year" than me!
Great attitude Magnus.
I think everybody should have understood so far, why exactly Magnus deserves to be Nibiru WOTY!Period.
Thanks for the kind words guys and the recognition for my hard work and dedication to the system. If anyone remembers last year I am a shameless promoter of what the system has done for me.
Mike Dewitt, Joe Rogan, Louis Ho
Well I am jumping on the podium here and casting my vote for John Botello. I have been with him for a little of 2 years. My quest with 10th Planet initially started with my son. He was a smaller kid in school and he wanted something he could do to try and protect himself, while staying active. I heard Joe Rogan quoting 10th planet and Eddie Bravo when I was watching a UFC fight. I figured let me at least look to see if there was a gym locally (since at the time I knew nothing about Jiu Jitsu), luckily for me the gym was 5 minutes from my house at the time. We made the decision to go in for an initial class and my son has been hooked ever since. John welcomed us with open arms, not knowing anything about the sport. Since that 1st day he has taken my son under his wing, and is now the oldest raking kid in the class. Shortly after i caught the bug and came in for my class and have been with john and 10th planet phoenix ever since. I cant thank him enough for what he has done for me or my son in the form of confidence and self esteem when it comes to putting it all on the line. Taking the time and patience to teach a kids class, and taking that same time and patience to teach adults is even better. He allows us all to find our own way thru the system. and will give us the individual time to piece together the small things in order to get things to work. We have built a family here. Thick or thin we've been thru it all. He has motivated us to compete and has never missed a competiton, where we had anyone competiting (even it it was only 1 or 2 of us). Leadership is a very important factor to me in anything that I do. Unity is next and we pride ourselves on doing that. I am sure there are other that feel the same from our camp and I am sure will chime in. Here is my vote for Master Yoda.
Moon of the Year: San Francisco
Nibiru Warrior of the Year: Mighty Mike Dewitt Jr.
Is Ant too young for warrior of the year? :}
Rogan (for getting his blackbelt after almost 2 decades of hard work) or Mike Dewitt for being the baddest mother fucker on the planet.
I agree that Joe should get the nod. He got promoted to black belt which is a huge milestone. He's a general in the army now. He's dropping knowledge on his podcast about ego, workout routines, supplements to improve everyone's game. I'm addicted to kettlebells now and I have already noticed results. He's reppin 10thp shirts at UFC weigh-ins and helping to grow the 10th planet name.
Damn, now Joe's in the running :)
I'm voting for Brother Mike Dewitt!
Joe Rogan
If the criteria would be thirst for knowledge, loyalty to the system, and warrior spirit, I'd give to Brian "Barn Cat" Debes. This hick from Texas has shown me what a Nibiru warrior should be. He's got a lot of things working against him (ie. bad back, mild retardation). But despite all this, he's all over the place...he was at the 10th Planet Cruise, he was with me in Vegas, he competed at GQ Vegas and at Gracie Worlds. For me, he's a shining example of where a Nibiru Warrior's heart should be. So, there you have it. My vote goes to Brian "Barn Cat" Debes.
Or maybe Renato Laranja? Lol
I kinda agree with this. I think preparing yourself to go to war is a worthy thing, doing that while preparing others to do it at the same time is way harder. That is why I say Ho gets my vote. But what about ZOG? Is he elegible for winning again this year? Nobody put him down that I saw. He is still the man. He is 1000 miles away and I have never met him,yet he was able to seriously inspire me about 10th planet and advance my game in a big way. And he does all this without thought of personal gain. +1 for ZOG.
I'm not as wordy as some of my Phoenix Brothers haha, but my vote is the same! John Botello Great Instructor! Great Competitor!

Ants been training martial arts for 15 years now. I'm not sure how many other guys have dedicated that much time training but i don't see him as a competitor that comes and goes. I see him as a genuine inspiration to the future of 10th planet jiujitsu and especially the youth who will carry the torch. His attitude alone is enough to motivate anyone and he never had to make a single post online.
Ant Lopez for president.
That’s such a flattering statement that I’ll even overlook the “hick” and “mild retardation” comments Louise :) I may need to save my campaign for warrior of the year for after I get a few more BIG competitive wins, but thanks so much. You defiantly are a role model for how an instructor should set an example, Louise.
Louise gets my vote for getting out there and competing when others wouldn’t. After all, it is “Warrior” of the year, not instructor or coolest guy. Louise Ho is a warrior.
Louise lol
Dammit my name is not Louise. It's Street.
John Botello all the way guys
Bahahaha Barncat bringin it!
