any one would be great no ever comes to my lil piece of shit town
any one would be great no ever comes to my lil piece of shit town
Nathan Maquina. he's an undiscovered gem. ...though i'd rather be selfish and just have privates with him, he's that good!
Easy one, Derek Stewart, Derek Stewart, Derek Stewart. I'd like to see Bollinger and Brent Littel, but only if he wears those sweet spandex shorts of his.
Is me or has this started to lose scope?
If you could have 2 10th Planet Instructors out to teach at YOUR SCHOOL who would it be?
I know it is awesome to help promote your OWN instructor but then we wouldn't really hear who people want out to do a seminar at their own school.
So again I would love to have Denny and John Botello out to Rochester!
brandon quick and hanno.... na im kidding!
joe rogan and shigeki... think about how awesome that would be....
Rhasaan and Strebendt
alex "4saken" and Nathan
brent littel and joe rogan
If not Master Eddie then Denny & Epstein
Im suprised Kevin Green hasnt gotten more pub here. Maybe its because his school is newer and hes just now getting his name out there...or maybe its because hes over here in east jibip...but pound for pound he is one of the toughest guys I have ever rolled with (and this includes all the team balance black and brown belts I roll with every sunday). I also think he is an excellent teacher on top of this and has innovative techniques that I have never seen at any of the other schools I float around and train at.
This man is no joke...for realz...#2...id say Herzog...love the leg locks ;)
Scott Epstein and Ari Bolden would be great too. If I could I would learn from them all because Im sure they all have specific techniques that they rep more then others.
I dont know little Josh Vogel a balance brown belt is petty good for being so skinny or Derek Leyrer is tough to. but rolling with Rick Migliarese is just pure hell ha. I THINK GREEN WOULD BE A GREAT TEACHER TO HAVE TEACH A SEMINAR THO. THEY ALL MOP ME UP.
All three of those guys are incredible...Derek is incredibly strong and has sick leg locks...have seen josh but have never rolled with him...same with rick...but I have heard the stories. Rob Mudrak is a nightmare to roll with as well...his leg locks are deadly. Those guys really know how to attack the legs. The thing with Kevin is he's only 145...I dont usually have many problems with guys who are 145...but I cant even pass his guard...so technical and so out of the box...I just never know where hes going and then bam...im caught.
Denny and Sean for Burbank
I think it would be cool if the black belts did a tour/seminar of the 10th planet locations all at the same time. Maybe spend a day or two in each location. That would be sweet
Prokopos & Strebendt..=)
I know I've already gave an answer but, after my seminar with morgantown and lynchburg instructor Neale Hoerle, I got to say guys, don't forget your east coast instructors. A lot of you are looking over these guys. They may not be in alot of videos but their skills are just as good. Neale was awesome and more importantly, very affordable. I got a lot of good feedback from the guys that attended and I'm already scheduling another one for January. So just remember those east coast instructors for you east coast guys. EASTSIDE!!!!!!
I would have Herzog and Einstein.
Bollinger and Eddie
Herzog and Einstein fo sho theyz be hella raw yo
All you purple belt instructors out there please don't feel neglected, it's VERY hard to make a living on the seminar circuit as a purple. Even as a brown it's tough. Understand that most people paying for seminars would naturally be drawn to black belts so please don't take it personally. Just focus on getting your brown by either killin it in tournaments or by coming to hq and tapping browns here, show me how bad you want your brown and that will automatically get you more seminars. If you wanna make money on the seminar circuit you gotta make it happen in competition or at hq. And yes, your matches will be video taped and posted on this forum, so come prepared for war :)
this is a no brainer...
JOEY KARATE
I would throw out a vote for Cade. I liked the style that he brought at legends.
So it's gotta be like the old west if we come to HQ? Hmmm.......interesting. ... :)
Going head to head with the hq browns is the second best way to evaluate my purples. The best way of course is doing what Scott Yockel, Jean Marc "red", and Daniel Valdez are doing, taking golds in competition. No one at hq gets promoted to brown unless they can hang with browns and dominate purples. it's quite simple really.
Chris Herzog and John Botello both have been to hq and have done exactly what I'm demanding. The entire 10th Planet association depends on these high standards for a bright future :)
I'm pretty new to 10th Planet and I don't know of any TPJJ schools out here in Hawaii. But I watch the shitload of vids and in most of them I see Denny and Einstein. So besides Eddie, definitely those two.
It all makes perfect sense to me. I bitch on a daily basis that I don't have access to a brown or black belt to train with. I honestly feel that it's a limitation to my game. I try and compensate by rolling with heavier and stronger guys but it's just not the same as getting out 'Tech'd'
In our faith you keep what you Kill... Or Tap... In a friendly way Of course ;)
Oh, I almost forgot, Brent Littell teaches at HQ too and is a brown belt :)
Brent is an excellent instructor. He tweaked my 1/2 guard during a private lesson a few years ago, it immediately improved my 1/2 guard game and it allowed me to continue its growth.
Jason Eisner is an amazing instructor don't let that purple belt stop you from having him out! But for guys we have never had teach at our place I would say- Denny and Sean
Eddie & Chris Herzog as im slowly starting to add more leg locks into my game
I'm more interested in the guys south of 170 lbs. I'd be interested in having Denny out, and possibly Botello. Herzog is close enough for me to drive to, so that would be the only reason I wouldn't have him out. Einstein will be at my place December 3 for the Just Cause seminar series.
Einstein was a fantastic seminar and everyone really took home techniques and concepts that they are using and pulling off. I also like the way Alder teaches and have taken a lot from him as well. I think it comes down to teaching style and you pick things up.
My first choice would be Eddie.....then i would train with Sean.
Brandon McCaghren is a super sick instructor!!! He might be a Blue belt but he rolls better than most brown belts that I've had the pleasure of getting my ass kicked by... But since Brandon lives so close to me, I would have to say Herzog & Bollinger again!!! Sean is a very Detailed instructor & takes his time to explain every split second of a technique. I had the pleasure to get to train with him & Jeremy Fields Last month in Pensacola, Florida & plan on having him at my gym sometime after Christmas. I don't know much about how Herzog teaches but all sources say that he's a phenomenal coach & his style is extremely appealing to me because I too am a big guy doing 10th Planet.
Brandon MC is soon to be well known. He's got the best guard of anyone I have rolled with. Um since Herzog is coming in December Im going to say ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh h Eddie again of course but that doesn't count since I already met him hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Joe Rogan, Jason Eisner, Bollinger, Prokopos, Horrwich (love Horrwich) any of those :)
Joe Rogan teach a seminar with Matt Horwich as his guest. :D
