The opponent left arm is free to push the Kung fu leg foot out an over the top of his head. In the 10 p background picture of the shoulder lock Eddie has the left wrist caught with his hands for the perfect carni or other variation of this type of shoulder lock. But it is indeed a slick transition.

I definitely think you should try it out a couple of times, really focusing on the details I give in the video regarding keeping the lock super tight, and then get back with me. Better yet, have a skilled training partner apply the lock on you and see if you are able to simply remove his foot. If so, please post the video of you guys performing the escape. We would all benefit from seeing it :)
