I have 3 offensive go-to's depending on the situation...
Triangles and armbars from said triangles on the back
Anaconda, 5 finger, and the Bully Choke from top turtle
Twister side control to either the roll, inverted kimura, or mount
Head Kick
Lately I've been getting ankle locks whenever I want them. I dunno why, it just kinda happened that I started using them a lot more. When I first started jits long ago in a galaxy far far away, I thought "damn these are too easy to get" so I stopped using them and worked other stuff...guess its kinda my go-to when I want the match over asap. Bas Rutten is WRONG when he says never tap to an ankle lock. I'd say its like 85% when I go to it.
Also all manner of armbars from all angles, armbars have always been my money move.
My regular go to move off my back is the electric chair I've been close 2 catching it twice in my last 2 fights
lazy mount ,
get caught in 1/4 guard
,samurai roll to the back
RNC
really surpised thought samurai roll was a bullsh1t flash move but drilled it for a couple of weeks a year ago ,forgot about it the about 2 months back was in 1/4 guard thought fuck it go for it ,
now i'm thinking about it all the time , i even put on half ass arm triangles from mount to get guys to pull 1/4 guard when i sneek foot in and then BOOM , roll tap tap
Love the arm triangle. love hitting it all over the place. Ive even had some success hitting it from guard. After Jon had me drill it for a good 3 weeks, that shit is tighter than a...........lets just say its tight!
Armbar... usually, that or the D'arce, for some reason im pretty successful with it...
triangle choke.
and i like the kimura from TSC a lot, too.
Armbar from any position
Guillotines from scrambles. I trust my guillotine so much that I spend most of my time trying to create scrambles so I can hit it.
Japanese necktie when the darce fails.
Asian Dart
1. triangle 2. darce 3. japanese necktie.
i hit the anaconda with a gator roll or DDT on 90% of the fools that shoot in on me. i lub it.
i also hit a ton of straight jackets for some reason. probably cause i use to hit Gogos like they were going out of style, then people started trying to defend them.
Half an Half from 1/2 guard...even bottom side sometimes.
Whatever u give me...
I'm gonna go with a position change for a move. I play back game more often, but I'll say switching mount into Z-mount. I am 6'0", about 150, and I go from not heavy on their mid-torso to really heavy on their chest, neck, and shoulders. It's almost the only way I get subs from mount.
I'm adding whatever you call grabbing your foot to slip from TSC to mount. Completely changed my game, and made my side control literally 10x more dangerous.
