Damn straight, see you there!
Wheres the event located this year?
Finally.... A shut load if seminars after.... Surely!! Herzog get involved, get a flight over please
if it was in london, i might have actually cried with happiness :(
i might be going still though, id stay at the same hotel as some of my 10th planet homies too lol, ive never been to notts or an ADCC before, so it would be a helluva experience
i may head over. flights are cheap enough with ryanair.
Why on earth would that happen? They aren't even in the same weighclass. Who wants to see Marcelo in a superfight when they could instead watch him tear up the tournament?
I'm even mad we have to see Braulio in a superfight instead of being able to watch him defend his 87k and Absolute Gold...
Although I understand you were probably joking...
This is a tough match to predict. If I had to put money on this, I put it on Royler. Many people will say that Eddie was a brown belt at the time & his game has improved so much since then but Royler's game has probably also improved since then. Eddie is just in the lime light way more than Royler is so people see it more. I see Royler blanketing Eddie & winning by points.
Part of me wants to see Eddie win just so he can get the respect that he has been craving for so long. But I can only base my predictions on what I've seen & Royler is a multiple time world champion & Eddie didn't win the ADCC 2003 the year he beat Royler. If Eddie wins, I hope it is from a set up like some of my friends have mentioned. I hope Eddie can impose his will in this match & really drive home how much better he's gotten & how much the first match wasn't a fluke. No one knows what Eddie will look like in this match. He hasn't competed in 8 years & Royler atleast competed in MMA since their last match.
I'm definitely looking forward to this match & I wish Eddie the best of luck. If Eddie wins this, I would love to see Eddie rematch Leo Viera. I know it wont happen because Eddie wants to ride off into the sunset after this match but I can dream.
might come down to training partners, sure is nice to have an entire family of black belts at hand, i think Eddie's key to winning is calling in some favours and making sure he gets the right training partners, i'd definately b calling someone in new york thats for sure. It will be hard/ impossible to find someone thats is as good as eddie at his system, whereas i think royler is a bit more replicable.
I 100% agree with this statement. Before, Royler only had to train for a flexable brown belt level under JJM Eddie Bravo, now he has to train for a flexable black belt that has fully come into his own 10th planet system Eddie Bravo. This will be fun to watch.
if this does happen a bunch of us shoul roll down there together to get group deals and shit lol
This thread is great. I'm nervous for eddie, but I have a strong feeling he's gonna win and turn a lot of people into 10th planet believers. It'll be a blow to many egos (and many will still be in denial), but it'll be good for the sport as a whole. Evolution is crucial and 10th planet is part of that evolution.
Yeah man. That's why I think Eddie's gonna take it. Royler's a G. He's no slouch. But I have a feeling that Eddie's evolved much more than Royler. The point about training partners is huge too. Eddie should def holler at Marcelo man. That'd be awesome.
Who's Going?
id love to hear the story of how this got inplace
I am definitely going to be there. Is Eddie allowed compete high if he has a medical prescription?
Good for Royler that Eddie documented his entire system and strategy on this website and via victory belt.
As a fan of jj, this is a great day. Have fun and ya might wanna vape from now on Eddie.
This match up is great for the sport for both the pro and against 10PJJ community, and everyone in between. Both Eddie and Royler are going to go down in Jiu Jitsu mega history of legends type stuff. I think both men are great, but of course, I'm rooting for Eddie lol. No brainer there.
All the guys at my gym are talking about this now. They're all saying Royler. I disagreed.
I wonder what the betting odds would be on this one.
Sperry vs Renzo is interesting as well. Sperry was my favorite grappler back in the day, haven't heard from him in awhile, is he still in competition shape?
Hangs head.
