I've never not rolled with someone because I was scared of them; it's just a fear I have that's borne of having never been an athlete at all and not starting training until I was 33. I was the kid who always got picked on and beat up and that scared kid is still in there. I was always intimidated by the jocks and I still am to some degree. I work past it by never turning down an opponent -- I just keep myself safe first. I still sometimes find myself schooling some beast that just started training and then being scared of the next guy anyway. I school him and go on to the next one. At the end of the night I find I've repped what I came in planning to rep, I've learned something new from the more senior guys, and I had a good time. I did some tapping and I got tapped. I know the next night I'll feel the same way but I come in and do it all over again. I'm working through it. :)

Lol, Jason doesn't have mean bone in his body, has the analytical mind which works well for his Jiu Jitsu, and he can defiantly take care of himself on the mat.

Haha. Thanks guys. That was a couple of months ago and you know, at the time I didn't even notice he was actually driving me across the mat. I was a little focused on the fact that he was practically dangling his chin over my ankle. :)
