i've never been high and taken condit's leg kicks before. maybe that's why he called them baby kicks.

I'm not arguing its a good rule. I'm saying he knows its a rule and is too stubborn to adhere. That's his fault
Should it be a rule? Eh. I wouldn't care if the guy I was competing against smoked it.
My two all time favourites BJ Penn and Nick Diaz both have similarities. Their moves and the way they execute them are very considered, precise, never rushed but borderline lacksadasical. They fight with an aura, its as if theres no tension, no stress. In comparison with the likes of Clay Guida, Dominic Cruz, Frankie Edgar, Wanderlei Silva (all world class fighters) and what seems like the majority of UFC stars who have a (some would say equally effective) relentless, all action, whirlwind style.
With BJ, Nick and Nate I have noticed their timing is off kilter with their opponents, their rhythm seems to be theirs alone. They flow effortlessly in both boxing and grappling, everything appears very natural and not forced. Their punch resistance is unparalleled. They are never close to being flustered by punches nor do they take a real backwards step. They have massive heart, grit and determination and fight at their pace and theirs alone.
Out of interest, and there is probably no hard and fast answer to this, but how long does marijuana stay in your system, from a drug testing stand point? And could you smoke an amount that would not get flagged up on the test, ie go under the radar?
Yes, we live in a childish & absurdly hypocritical society where alcohol is not only allowed, but encouraged, while cannabis remains illegal, but all that aside...
...had Diaz won last Saturday, I don't even want to know how much differently this whole fiasco would have played out. How ridiculous would it have been w/ Diaz's win getting pulled, or at the very least his shot at the belt (possible suspension) and Condit getting the call to face GSP anyways? (at least, that's how I assume it'd play out in my hypothetical situation)
Honestly, I would be impressed if he and a lot of other fighters who smoke just said "Fuck it" and have all their future fights ruled as NC due to smoking. Would get the rule changed, possibly. Ah, but that is the rebel in me. You can dream right?
Lol on top of having to give up around 40% of their purse and 6months to a year off. I guess if fighting wasnt their sole source of income that might work out. I mean im all about getting stupid rules turned but I think a lot of fighters really depend on their purse
I do think it is a stupid ruling by the NSAC, but Nick could have put down the urb until after the PED test. If this is your primary source of income, why screw it over with urb? IMO it all falls on Nick, regardless of his medical status. He knew that this would happen, and it did not stop him, so the blame falls with Nick.
Yeah, like I said ... Wishful thinking, man. Wishful thinking. Would be a quick way to get attention drawn to the issue and its not like it'd be long term. Look at these doctor's and companies starting to give way from studies and falling back on the DEA. That and public opinion ((Which they create. "Weed is just something I did in my youth before I got a career. It was stupid..", etc..))
Yeah he blew a test he knew was illegal ... but what a fuckin retarted rule.... and why can Chael and Hendo have a medical ok for juice and he not have one for pot (whcih he has one ....). lets face it Im not saying that Hendo and guys like him with a deficiency are abusing juice ... but it is a license to do so ... in between fights they can crank the amount they use up and ween off it ... then when it comes time to fight IF they blow a test they have the old crutch of īts ok I got a dr.s not so dont punish me .... thats horse shit (they may not be allowed to fight ... but the commission wont ban them, they could blame it on a to strong prescription. What does pot do for you 3 weeks out from a fight ... the piss test they do can catch stuff from weeks before, no one knows if he was stoned at the time of the fight, If they are worried about that then have a sobriety test pre fight. Post fight pot tests are stupid and dont protect the fighters. The fighter that drinks 3 weeks befroe doesnt get puinished ... its retarted.
Oh and the fact of the matter is that most of the guys that have testosterone problems are wrestlers that cut weight a lot in their early career so its self inflicted .... so they can use a crutch that they made for themselves and have a green light for potential abuse ... but a guy cant smoke a joint a week or 2 before a fight and still pass....they say its because of slowed reflexes and such, and because he may not feel pain the same way .... again back to the sobriety test .... pot doesnt slow you down for weeks and it doesnt cause endless weeks of numbing that could get me injured, and if that is what they are worried about ... they better ban adrenaline dumps lol. Im quite sure it wasnt weed that made Tim Silvia try to keep fighting after Mir broke his arm ...
Nick Diaz Is to Blame, But So Are Meaningless Commission Marijuana Tests. http://www.mmafighting.com/ufc/2012/...evada-mma-news
The dude is just straight up real he don't fuck around! He is hands down my favorite fighter. He has the best unintentional humor.
