I have tons of goals, I don't expect to achieve them all but here are some of the more achievable ones. Earn my black belt, teach regularly, open my own school, start a jiu jitsu based self defense programme for women, take AT LEAST 1 private/seminar from my list of jiu jitsu teachers I would love to learn from.
Barcelona or Madrid? Wth the exception of sweden mainland Europe is so far hopelessly untapped.
My immediate goal is gold at a tourney. But eventually, I would like to have Master Eddie Bravo call me out and hand me that black belt. That would trulu be an honor and privilege. I've been bitten by the jiu jitsu bug. I absolutely love training and learning so I really don't care if it takes me 2 years or 20 to get there. This is going to be a lifelong journey for me one way or the other. Really, I don't worry about rank. That will come in time. And I'm seriously a LONG way from any belt. I'm just loving my jiu jitsu journey. But some day, I'll have that bb!
My goal is to still be on the mat at age 70 and making 20 somethings thinking twice about what BJJ is really about!! My 70th birthday party will be a rolling party on the Mat, and I will sit back and say "I did it"
I just want to master this system so that I can transfer it to Cora and Kato so that they can make a name for themselves. And when I'm old, I might want to relocate back to my homeland (Cambodia) because the cost of living is so much less than here. And I'm seriously thinking of opening a 10thPlanet Cambodia. Wow that sounds good just saying it...:) But that is a long term goal.
Short term goal is to master the system so that I can help Cora get to where she wants to be in this sport. She has been talking alot about opening up her gym...:) I don't know what belt she has to be to open up her gym, but that sounds doable. I can start saving up now and when she is of the right age and belt ranking, we can open it up. I am in the process of turning my garage into a dojo right now. When I am done, we will start to accept kids who wants to learn 10thplanetjj. So far I have everything to make this place into a mini gym, just need to finish the cometic work.
Let me know if you go back to Cambodia. I'm working on my Asian Studies degree and hope to get a job either in Thailand or Cambodia. I've been to Phuket and just fell in love with the place.
I'm achieving my goal everyday. Just continue growing on and off the mat and enjoying this ride for the rest of my life. Only thing I would add is that I want to instruct and help others become a part of this experience and achieve their own goals.
2 chicks at the same time.
