I have a little background info on the Dane thing I can share now that the show has aired....if you guys care.
My coach is getting pretty beatup on the internet. Mostly about him taking the spot that belonged to Dane with the wild card. Thats what everyone is flipping out about. The truth is Marc thought he stood little chance of the wild card because of how he performed against Cody. he had returned to a normal diet and put some weight on, when he was told make sure he was ready to make weight. Thus the talk about the hard weight cut that everyone saw as an excuse (more about that in a second) He was told Dane thought he had broke his nose in his fight, he had been checked out by the Dr's and cleared to fight......but he said he didn't want to fight injured. This was just common knowledge around the house. Dane would not be figured in for wild card pick, thus Marc starts a fast and hard weight cut.
Well we know how all that worked out. But to Marcs surprise when show aired, there was no mention of Dane not wanting to fight, it was replaced by spots making it look like he was hungrey for the card and pissed when he didn't get it. dane has come out and said none of thats true and he was ready to go......But my coach has no reason to make any of that up. So he's not happy Dane is going around acting like my coach screwed him out of something.
He is also amazed that the producers decided to create this alter ego of Mini Kos around him. Making it look like him and Kos held hands and took long walks in the park togeather. The truth is from the second or third day in they could barley stand to be in the same room togeather, and rarley spoke. Marc was concerned about Kos coaching style, or lack of i should say. He only wanted to condition which Marc was over conditioned already when getting to the show. Take a look at the Aftermath show, you can tell it was all they could do to sit next to one another. Kos proving his lack of intrest in his team , and not being tight like the show made it look, when he had no clue where Marc was from. But Coach kept his cool to try and be professional as possible.
Back to the weight cut everyone has said was an excuse......This is what people dont know. Before Marc made the show he was signed to fight Hermes Franca. He trained his balls off for 8 weeks ready to retire Hermes. Only to find Hermes dropped out of the fight at last minute when he anounced he would retire. He within a day was picked up to fight Mike Cambell....in 8 weeks. Can't start eating than. So keep training stay on weight get ready for the fight. 3 days before that fight, it falls apart. But he gets the call for TUF tryouts. He makes it. Yup you guessed it. 8 weeks training , Bang knocks out TJ with the big overhand right, He's in the house.
It was a train wreck waiting to happen. 6 months training and staying on weight for fights. It had to come crashing down at some point. And we all got to see it when it did.
I just hope he can battle back to the level of respect he deserves.

To me it looked like Koz wanted the wild card to go to Marc for sure. I thought English was injured, so to me it looked like it was fixed towards Marc from the get go.
Anyways all respect to your coach- win or lose he's living the dream.
It did seem like Kos and Marc didn't like each other too much on the Aftermath show.
