I like the first pass. The second pass was basically a tilted buttocks compressor.

Not a Gracie breakdown but probably as close as we will get. Ryron says he likes Eddie and would love to roll with him, says that they could probably both teach each other a lot. Never really gives Eddie full props but does say that he would only be able to judge Eddie's jiu jitsu by seeing him in every position.
That was a great breakdown. Eddie Bravo is the fucking man!
word is they filmed a breakdown today, which should be up soon-ish. We'll see how it goes.
Thats funny, even when i was writing that they would do a breakdown above, I was thinking "fucking Zogs gonna be right as usual"
3/4 of that video was an subtle advert for Combatives.
According to their example: the "Lockdown" is ineffective because Eddie didn't have head and arm control of Royler in the particular frame they showed. Royler is a multi-time world grappling champion - of course he was not going to just lay into the "Lockdown" like a fish. It wasn't a street fight and Royler isn't anywhere in the universe close to what type of assailant you would encounter. When fully on, the "Lockdown" is pretty damn tight and very uncomfortable - way more so than the basic closed guard.
Oh, and Eddie did sweep him 4 times from it as well.
Let's see how effective their own Combatives would be against Royler in the same fairness. How good would even a full on back mount be against Royler? All those techniques went through their "filter". But since the 10th Planet techniques aren't part of the Combative marketed program and not created by the Gracies - well they couldn't possibly be as good.
PR and damage control time. Wrap a 3 second compliment in a 20 minute criticism.
