You basically are doing wind sprints on you whole body instead of just the legs plus gaining strength and muscle . so yes the aerobic threshold is used in a very intense way. Understand our aerobic system is used when our muscles call for blood. what causes more blood flow a jog or high intensity static contraction? Also the reason you have not heard of this training is because i developed it.
