I come on here a lot and am blown away at how things get taken out of context. Jason didnt say that BJJ sucks or is useless. He said that right now its the least effective. That means there are no real dominant BJJ guys doing mma. Relax

I see far too many people running from prone butt flopped fighters to believe Jason's comment.
That guy is good but he don't know about the basics. You have the basics. You know the gi. You train with the gi. What you do you talk with thees. And you talk with thatch. But when you have the preparation, you not gonna lose. You don't needch thatch. Edgy tell you gonna wear thatch. Don't have to have thatch. You gotta have thees:

That's the gi. That's Jiu Jitsu.

Jason is a good guy and a legit brown. He has respect for Eddie and 10th Planet. Just because he's not down with the system lately, doesn't mean we should bash him. Lets show some respect.
by all means i hope it doesnt sound we are all attacking him i just find it strange that a guy who knows the system knows the vision of what eddie is doing for jiujitsu in mma would come out and say that i mean some of the biggest fights this year where won buy jiujitsu (silva vs sonnen, lesner vs carwin ,fedor vs werdum ) all won buy submission i dont think i have seen a fight this year where if it went to the ground it didnt end up someone pulling guard my point being i dont under stand how its the least effective at all when its used quite alot to great effect
Of the 1,163 UFC fights that actually took place:
•442 (38%) ended via KO or TKO.
•365 (31%) ended via submission.
•339 (29%) ended with a winner declared via decision.
•88 (7.6%) ended in less than 1 minute.
•447 (38.4%) happened in Las Vegas
are the stats as of ufc 100 from all ufc's since 01
i would like to know out of the 29 percent of decisions how many of those fights where wrestler vs wrestler compared to a bjj vs bjj and wrestler vs bjj and what those percentages are same with the submisson percentage
Here Here Brotha! Someone speakin some logic. Go to SD with the melodrama.
BJJ is used, the thing is in modern mma it is often NEUTRALIZED by both fighters being experienced. SO though it doesnt look it theres bjj happening, there is bjj going on.
Also Modern MMA camps rely on keeping position and GnP to win fights. Cinching in subs in a sweaty near nude fight aint easy and it is seen as lower percentage. Why risk giving up position.
