I agree with you, stand up gsp would tko jake, but i think jake can take him down at will, and sub him at will. I really want gsp to lose, but i like gsp just as much, and i want gsp to fight anderson, so idk if they will still fight if either of them loses their next fights.
I just dont know how to call this fight. GSP is a monster athlete, and if Jake fights like he did against Kampmann he will get brutalized.
GSP via completely outclassing Jake.. GSP is a game plan master and this one will most likely be a striking seminar. If jake somehow gets GSP down maybe he can hold him there for 5 rounds but I wouldn't put any sort of money on it.
If George "Pimpin aint Easy" keeps it standing Shields is done for. Freddie Roach is the man. However I too think if Shields can get it down to the floor GSP will be in a world of trouble for the simple fact that gsp has never fought anyone with such high caliber jiu-jitsu. Thats IF he can get it to the floor. I know "Pimpin aint Easy" will most likely win but Im pulling for Jake Shields.

Personally i think they're both great fighters. Gsp is going to want to keep it standing, in my opinion he is not gong to out grapple jake sheilds. Sheilds is deffinetly going to want to go to the ground with gsp and try to submit him. If g...sp can keep it standing i could see the ref stoping the fight at the 4th round latest. But if sheilds can get the fight to the ground i can see him submitting gsp. All in all i see sheilds putting the pressure on gsp and driving foward with a barrage of punches while gsp tries to stay more technical and pick his punches/kicks (possibly counterstrike). I just dont see sheilds taking gsp to the ground i belive that welterweight is not sheilds right weight, he will gas out and get fineshed in the third round. Perdiction- 3rd round tko for Gsp
ps. just for the sake of argument im voting for Sheilds.
jake will not be able to sub gsp at will! jake has better pure wrestling than gsp but hey they is mma. many different factors. hes bigger and stronger than gsp. it would be intresting to see jake shields put gsp up against the cage for a few round and where him out like gps did to bj.Quote:
