People still talk that shit about boxing being as good and complete a system as MMA. I don't care if all you train is punches you are going to lose doesn't matter if you hit like Mike Tyson. Its like taking a Bow and Arrow to a modern day war.

like I said this sport is still young and not yet driven monetarily by hardcore fans like us beleive it or not we are still the minortity the success of this sport still relies on beer guzzeling meat heads wearing tap out shirts whether we like it or not as time goes on that ballace is slowly shifting and eventually these kind of money draws will no longer be needed but until that day comes we are stuck with this kind of stuff so we might as well enjoy watching dum asses like Tony and Kimbo Slice getting humiliated.
Justin, doubt Toney was paid to take a dive, Toney was making more than this in boxing! Top Boxers have always made top dollar, hell Floyd Mayweather made 22.5 million for his fight against Mosely. IMO mma fighter are extremely underpaid. Here in Georgia alot of pro mma fighters fight anywhere for $300-$1000 to show and that again if they win. This is probably the way it is all throughout the US. So When a fighter gets to the ufc $3000 to show and $3000 to win is standard and the fighter signs the contract thus continuing this low pay. Low pay for mma fighters will continue until the fighters themselves come together and refuse to fight for so little amount.
I guess for me it feels a bit like it did when the UFC gave Brock the title shot ahead of both Mir and Nog. All of my Brock nut-hugger friends at the time were all about it; my feeling was, is, and always will be that he didn't earn that title shot. It was a pure business decision by the UFC and I don't really blame them for it. They're in the business of making money. Brock brings in the PPV sales. That he stepped in to a title shot 2-1 in MMA and 1-1 in the UFC is retarded, but he brought in the money and he took the belt. I never said he wasn't an athlete (and one could argue that in his condition Toney isn't much of an athlete. Great boxer, but not an all-around athlete like Brock), just that the UFC put dollar signs ahead of integrity by skipping over two guys who had more than paid their dues. Seems a little like the same thing here.
you can't have MMA without boxing so boxing wins!
People actually say that? Hell, Iv seen multiple boxers take kickboxing fights and either collapse or have the towel thrown in from leg kicks alone. Every time they tried to close range they got hacked in the leg and there was nothing they could do about it. And thats just kickboxing, not MMA.
Teep, leg kick. Leg kick, leg kick, leg kick. Leg kick, teep. Leg kick, leg kick, leg kick.
