I don't see either of the examples as being too hard. If you make it easier, you just water down the system. Keep it as is. The people that want it bad enough will make the sacrifices.

The only other thing would be to have a roll option when you visit a school at your seminars. Pop quiz!
please don't change anything about it. if somebody has complaints, then they shouldn't be a part of what you are doing.
as someone just starting out on the affiliation process it seems very fair, and to be honest i can't think of any other fairer way to do it
The 2 best ways I can think of to promote without any doubts or questions is by 1. competing or 2. by coming to HQ where I can roll with you and see you how you handle HQ purples, browns and blacks.
I am happy that you all agree that that these 2 options insures the integrity of our system.
It's all about dedication & making the system a priority. Don't change a thing coach.
Zog nailed it. It's a want and a privlege. Getting to train with you has been a huge privilege and you are totally fair I can't image another head of an entire school being so accessible. Maybe people who trained at other schools get belted faster or something? The biggest compliment I would receive before my last promotion was when rolling with other non 10th planet guys they would ask "Are you a purple or a brown belt?" and I personally would rather our blues being able to take out other schools purples, our purples being able to hang and even get the best of other schools brown ect. Please keep the system tight and only promote when people earn it not when the whine about their rank.
More of this Drill Sgt. Bravo!

Don't change a thing. If someone wants to advance, simply achieve the objectives needed to do so.
