I'm still surprised at the % of martial arts schools that have poor teaching attitudes. "Go pick a fight and see how you do?!" That's so crazy sounding to me.
And the poor kid who was disheartened under terrible mental and technical coaching to do martial arts anymore I feel bad for. It happens plenty in martial arts where I'll hear horror stories of a guy who's been training "Random McDojo/Bullshido Art X" and gets a high rank or even black belt and then is unfortunately confronted with a survive or die type physical altercation....and they get smashed.....hard. I'm surprised that schools that teach that stuff still get new students to sign up.
