Another Question, did Hanno provide evidence that he did his JJJ Black Belt grading and pass it? Eddie this one is for you to answer as you are the only one who actually got this info without having to speculate.
Gary - since I see you are watching this thread - how does Hanno students do at comps and what is the general feedback from everyone that attends Hannos competitions that he hosts?

So I asked him again, are you a bjj black belt or jjj black belt? and he insisted that he was a bjj black belt. Eddie mailed Alder about Hannos affiliation being denied - not Hanno - Alder didn't even give Hanno a hint !
As far as Hanno was concerned his aplication was still pending
Hanno actually did the online Brown belt grading - without ever spending a single day at an affiliated 10th planet school - how many of you can do that ?

How many times in this thread have I told you guys how many times any of us using 10th planet teqniques gets insulted and made fun of by the BJJ students here in Cape Town - how it gets reffered to as 10th planet shit----this doen't seem to bother anyone !!
Funny how you don't say anything nice when you get told that Hannos students kicks ass at every comp with the "10th planet shit" he teaches them.

I'm wondering why isn't Hanno defending himself, instead of, apparently every other Jiu Jitsu practioner in Cape town coming to his defense, and why do they all have only a few posts? Can Scott or one of the other guys IP them and see if they are all coming from the same place, pc wise. Its an oldy but goody trick to use multiple screen names to get your point across/ defend someone.

Hanno already defended himself - he apoligised to Eddie and everyone involved if any of his actions offended them - according to him it's case closed - what more do you want from him ? Must he fall into a knife ? Would that please you? I'm not just defending Hanno - I'm standing up for everyone that ever learned from him, that entered and won competions because of his training and everyone that ever entered a competion hosted by him and had the time of their lives and I'm standing up for everyone that was ever critisized for doing 10th planet techniques here in Cape Town - but then kicked ass at comps !!
Are we on the same planet? You think your the only one one that ever hears that, we are on a website filled with people that hear that all the time. We are an actual 10th Planet Affiliate and have been for close to 4 years. I think I've heard "10th Planet is shit" at last 2 or 3x more than you have. My guys tear it up and medal at every event we go to. Shit like that doesn't bother me, because i'm not insecure.Quote:

I'm still waiting for and answer on whether he did the test or not and whether he passed or failed it. As far as his JJJ blackbelt - Eddie confirmed getting it earlier in this thread or is Eddie now also lying - did you see it?

It sounds like your whole argument hinges on how did did on the "test". That's not the entirety of what qualifies you for affiliation. As an affiliate you're representing 10th planet as a whole. Why would we want a liar representing the system? Oh so what he lied, we all lie..Seriously? That's not much of an argument for what was a "misinterpretation" originally.

It's a natural part of the student-instructor relationship for a student to look up to his teacher, especially if he's invested time or finances in him. But let's be very clear on this. It's not a 'white lie'. It's a business, and it's lying to customers. That makes it fraud, and is especially significant when your student demographic is mainly impressionable teenagers. And when I've given up my job, my life savings, my friends & family and most of my holidays to get my brown belt over the past 10 years I have a moral obligation to checkout someone who takes a shortcut by lying.
As for your attempt to distract the forum by putting me down (Gary continually says 10th planet is shit), I've never met you that I'm aware of. And I've just got off of our open mat session where I rolled with the best 10P in CT - he rolls here regularly and we shared failed omoplata ideas and options today. I am not going to get into a childish slanging match with you, my credibility is not in question, and there is much more that could be said about Hanno - trust me, this fake brown belt is just the tip of the iceberg.

Hey Gary if you read the thread properly, then you wil know that it was not marius that said you bad mouth 10th planet, but me. Marius mearly stated that he has to defend himself against insults regarding his 10th planet training, especially from bjj guys. As a matter fo interest this "best" 10p guy, where did he get his 10p training from, because i would also like to go there.

There is another guy in Durban claiming to be the official representative of 10th Planet in SA, Darryl Faught. Using the name, logos, on facebook, website the whole deal. Did some research on the guy and found on www.crossfit.com that he was using their name without consent and they were taking legal steps against him. Hope 10th Planet doesn't associated themselves with these kind of fraudsters who are taking the public for a ride with false credentials.......

im in no way connected with 10p other than this website and my large interest in the system, so im not really bias. but even to a simpleton like me its very clear whats happened and you guys need to just accept it, and speak to hanno and between your group about it. ranting at 10p members and trying to convince them on your view of the situation wont solve anything, in fact it has made things worse and has given hanno a more negative image. so please can we just return this topic to its original purpose and move on from it.

It is with great embarrasment that I need to appoligise to everyone on this threat for defending Hanno so strongly. Hanno became involved in my gym aswell, not only as a teacher, but also as a partner. since the moment he got "on board" I asked that he would please verify his credentials by means of forwarding me his certificates, etc... stating that he is indeed a Black Belt in JJJ as he claims. He continuesly dodged the issue and up to date still haven't supplied me with ANY proof that he has ANY grading in any form of jiu Jitsu. I have lost a few students at my Gym because of it as they felt "disillusioned" by Hannos "affiliation" to 10th planet and I can proof this with correspondence between me and some students. After the New Years weekend, Hanno just casually let me know that he is turning his back on our Gym and it's students and is just walking away, without a care for any of the students that was there to learn "freestyle" Jiu Jitsu - based on the 10th planet system.
I am formally appoligising to everyone on this forum for standing up to them to defend Hanno - especially Gary from Cape Town and all the students at my gym. I myself was disillusioned and believed that I was only defending my teacher and apparent good friend - as any dedicated student and "friend" would most probably have done. Hanno promised to show me the email from Master Eddie stating that he indeed passed his brown belt and also his JJJ black belt certificate. Apparently he deleted the email from Master Eddie and cannot find his BBelt certificate......... Enough said
I am very embarrased and can only ask that you forgive me for my errors !!

Marius I'm truly sorry that you and your students had to go through all that just to find out the truth is not what you wished it to be. Its a hard pill to swallow. However it takes a real man to come back months later and apologize. Its my hopes you guys find a legitimate instructor and you and your team excel.
Kudos to you. Takes alot of guts to come back and apologise after all that has gone on in this thread. I take my hat off to you it's hard to admit when you have been wrong. Wish you all the best fot the future.
