Bobby/can someone please help explain the twister flip counter? Is this when he goes for the twister/truck roll? Sry just trying to understand the gap.Quote:
I would twister flip him every time and if he did end up in the truck he would get armbared reaching for the calf crank with the near arm.
I've heard of the armbar counter from the nearside arm on calf crank, he claims he hasn't had that happen to him yet in the tourneys he's done although I can't comment on the level of opponents he's faced (on his site I think it says he did fight MMA, and he has emailed with me before)
Which part when he goes for omplata and opponent rolls forward? Thanks guys.Quote:
He would also get re-omo'd when he tries to slow your roll by grabbing one leg.

Tell me he didn't actually say, "I'm going to test his flexibility" in the second vid in this thread. So it's not enough to bite moves -You've got to actually bite the phrase used by the guy who made the original instructional video as well? Lame.

I understand nobody can copyright a move. And Eddie is the first one to admit he didn't really "invent" every technique he teaches. But if you do like the guy did in these videos and present material in exactly the same way that someone else presents it, then you're stealing. If this guy did a video of how to do Rubber Guard techniques when you don't have the flexibility, or how to do them wearing a Gi, or something like that, it might be OK. But to just make a video of how to do the Twister submission is just plain stupid when there's already a video teaching the submission and your "new" video isn't adding anything.
