javi vazquez working the Rubber Guard

sticking to the techniqe is good but untill what point....after the 4th RG attept failed he should have switched to somthing else..
if i was a judge id have been put off by him not standing more and throweing leather

I thought he did pretty good. He took little G&P and deliverd some nice elbows, some good striking out of the RG. He was working for the meat hook and the triangle off the meat hook. All I would say he needed to do better was tighten his leg squeeze and definately hook the leg when Mendes would pick him up. Maybe of tried to trap the arm or switched to pyramid but still a solid effort and another possible ambassador for 10th planet techniques in the UFC.

I just watched the fight. I think he did very good. It is obvious that he has been working with and like the meat hook. Awesome fight. Just became a fan of Javier's.
