I use that rubber guard from side control to set up a ghost side control escape into a M'arce. I'm not sure how effective it is though, I catch it in training occasionally but it has been shut down every time in competitions. I still like it though!

Nice, I've never done that one before, I've used it to set up the elbow push escape (heisman) though. And I'm thinking I might be able to use it to get wrist control > shrimp in to recover guard or to rubix cube.Quote:

Kevin Berbich has some great chokes from forcing the head inbetween the legs, it's not with the rubber guard leg entry but I imagine you can work your arm around the neck for a similar choke.

I agree it looks like you could pull that tech off from this position. Sometimes I find my leg has passed their arm, this choke would be right there.
