BMac showed me a darce defense this summer that pretty much makes you invincible to darces. I have let dudes fully sink a darce in but they always give up on it. And I'm talking top level darce guys. Honestly it kinda made me lose respect for the darce. At least until somebody proves to me otherwise. (:
I'm sure I'm not the only to say that I'd love to see how to do this D'Arce defense. :o
It will defend the darce, but it can be attacked from the vice. Step over peruvian style leverage up with youre radius and pull like a sonbich while pushing him away with your legs. Kinda like the mexican necktie but both legs over. He has to be defending the necktie for his life tho.
There's a whole system for it these days. I gotta show it to you Bobby. You're gonna love it.

I'm interested in seeing this defense too. I wonder if it's the Garry Tonon defense. He has the best darce defense that I've seen. He's fought it off from some elite darce chokers. He's defended well against full on chokes from Boogey Martinez, Bill Cooper, Buchecha, and Keenan Cornelius. I'm not quite sure what he's doing, but it works very well. Doesn't seem to matter where the choke is applied from either.
