now im not saying that Im planning on doing on DMT.. but ive got this "friend".. and he was wondering how much of an odor this extraction process puts off.. For instance if my "friend" decided to do this at his house.. would my friend's neighbors smell any of the chemicals when they are heated?
after smoking dmt for 3 months he said some women approached him in his art class and told him he was part of this enlightened group of people and then told him all of his relatives names because he dindt believe her. she then went on to explain how it was her spiritual quest to come do this and how she was from hawaii and all this crazy shit.Quote:

well thats not good.. considering its one of the (if not THE) most illegal substance in the world. I'll.. err.. i mean my friend.. will just have to wait until theres less of a risk factor involved.

I have been researching DMT for a little over 7 years now,
and I have been experiencing it for more than 5 (in the past only of course).
DMT is absolutely the most awe inspiring experience I've ever had.
There is nothing on this earth that holds a candle to it.
If you are into psychedelics, DMT is as though you have been crawling
around in the dark your entire life, and you somehow stumbled onto
a light switch and turned it on, getting to see parts of reality that you
never could have imagined before.
When you have a really deep experience (which most people never
do, because one hit will take you so far they don't want any more,
or they just can't hit it properly) it can be the most beautiful, grotesque,
loving, and fearful experience you've ever experienced, all at the same time.
Information is visual, and all ideas are encompassed into every idea,
the battle for sense is a struggle back and forth which is never solved.
I will not go fully into the experience, for one because it is so personal,
and for another, because it is beyond explanation (I have many posts
around the web with these experiences explained further, but I don't
really feel that this is the proper venue for that).
DMT can be very elating and it can also bring an immense amount
of anxiety and fear on. This shit is the real deal folks, if you weren't sure.
Ayahuasca is a more balanced approach to ingesting DMT, but playing
with MAOIs is a dangerous game if you are not educated on what you
are doing.
While there are entities to be examined and so many other bizarre,
mind jarring facets to the stuff, what you really end up with is yourself.
You meet you, in the most real sense possible, it's you, and you're
challenging yourself take this world on and make it your own.
The perspective shift that DMT provides is so unrelenting and so bizarre
beyond what you could never imagine, you may think you are dying, or have died.
It is not for everyone, and it's popularity these days sort of puts a damper
on the "sacredness" that so many hold it to. The good thing about DMT
is that it has the quality of weeding out the weak, the dabblers, and the unprepared.
If you are a dabbler, DMT is not for you. If you have taken a sheet of acid
and decided you were gonna go there...well DMT just might be for you.
If you want real information on DMT, read some books, and surf the websites
which came up with and distributed the teks on extraction (ie Mycotopia.net and DMTNexus).
There you will find all the answers that we have so far.
My first suggestion is to be inspired by Terence McKenna, if you have not
heard his lectures or read his books, I would say start there, his lectures
are widely available on the internet. Some of his books were written with
the layman in mind, but some of them are very difficult reads due to the
depth of the topic and the scientific nature of the material.
As far as extracting goes...
I would be glad to share the best, and easiest technique for the regular joe,
along with excellent sources for your materials, however, I do NOT condone
the use of the techniques or materials for anything illegal. These things are
to be taken as theory alone.
The extraction does smell a bit, but only when you are actually handling
the open containers and in the final steps of retrieving your product
from the solution. The smell is naphtha, a paint thinner, so it is not hard
to cover for yourself. If you are living at your folks house, then no, you
would not get away with it without someone knowing, very easily anyway.
The extraction can be done in literally less than 24 hours if you wanted
it to be done that quickly. The first time, however, you will likely want
to plan for the unexpected and think more along the lines of a couple days
to three days.
I hope this provides a little insight to the issue at hand, and feel free
to further question here, and PM me if you are educated on the topic and are
interested in the information I am speaking of.
Everything Joe has said, and Eddie, and myself in this thread only scratches
the very surface of what DMT is about.
