We who love 10thpjj do so because of instructors like kevin who saw a different approach to jits and said hell yeah, and opened their minds to accept what was put before them. they took the time to learn to be able to teach the rest of us. And guys that are badass, dont have to say theyre badass, they just do it. So while we can all see kens shortcomings in his video, we shouldnt get to worked up because we know the truth.
Well the thing is, at 1:18 he is also putting hands on the mat to stop the tech, which in, and of itself is a no-no, since you may stop rubberguard, but instantly become Kimura/Hip bump sweep/omaplata bait.
As for the traditional BJJ close minded guys, I guess I am lucky, never met one (not a Black belt).

the guy on bottom had a terrible rubber guard...i bet he has never even been in a match with a real 10th planet student..so how are you going to try to teach something you know noting about..i saw him put his hand on the mat twice.( a no no if your caught in rubber guard) and his one counter was to slipp out and grab the belt and flip the guy over..most 10th planeters dont wear a gi..this guy looks just ripe for a triangle choke
plus that whole push thru to bring the bottom guy into a regular closed guard...WTF your still caught in the guard..he didnt even teach a pass just a way to stall ..hello a 10th planet player is going to know the closed guard,half guard,spider guard..and how to use them..
i heard about this guys school , and the classes are short and it would take you forever there to learn anything , this is their strategy for moneymaking and not to advance any of his students . as for him challenging us 10th planet guys why not bring some guys out to our schools put on their pajama gis and try .
