I won't be competing, but I might show up just to watch.
I cleared my PM box 2 days ago.
How many "excuses" do you count? I count one. I'm out of shape. Why in the hell would I compete against guys who have been working hard to get in shape? That would only fuel the 10th planet hate. I'm not afraid of losing. But I respect 10th planet enough to at least put my best effort forward. I'm not gonna show up as a fat slob who gasses in 30 seconds for some Gracie Barra dude to boost his ego.
Consider something here. I posted that 5 days ago. This thread fell off the front page. That means you had to go and dig it up. Why? Seriously kid, get off my dick. Eventually we'll cross paths. We'll slap hands. We'll choke each other. Who knows, you may even learn to like me. In the meantime, either get off my dick, or hit my PM's. Cuz what you're doing here is making you look real vaginal.
You don't have to have a ton of space. Get some puzzle mats and throw them down on a flat surface like a back porch or even public park or pavilion at a university. Even if it's not official, as long as you're training, it's the same concept. Just train and do the damn thing. It will never be a picture perfect situation, just start getting together with the people who have interest.
I can also understand David not wanting to compete if he hasn't been training at least a little lately. I have lowered my standards for personal fitness levels that I'll allow myself to compete at, but definitely wouldn't compete if I haven't been training at least enough to feel remotely confident. When you know where you need to be to feel good going into competition, it's really hard to settle for less. At the same time, when your technique is solid, you need fear not. It can only go so bad in the grand scheme if your a little outa shape. May get caught and tap or outpointed, either way, shows you something to focus on and fix in your game.
I only want you to compete because I care for you. Why else would I always be on your dick. Being out of shape is the exact reason you should be competing. Personally, I find a looming tournament date to be a GIANT motivator. I eat the cleanest and work the hardest when I know I'm going to have to go out there and stand across the mat from a guy that wants to beat me and steal my medal. If you lose, so what. That's a motivator to be in better shape next time. 10th Planet won't turn their back on you.
We all have an uphill battle, Mr. Rosado. Although you often call me "kid" or "son", I'm actually in my thirties and choose to compete against college kids 10 years younger than me rather than relinquish myself to the masters division. I want you to get the same "participation belt" that I get to wear, and the only way to get that belt is by participating.
David was a regular student of mine and is now a long distance student he has my guidance, he doesn't need yours. Don't worry about how he gets ranked, that's my job. Dave clearly doesn't want your advice but you continue to give it. When you get your own school and have your own students than you can worry about them. No one cares about your "participation" and how its relevant to anyone else. Stop preaching, you look like a fool.
