More like this. Realize its a battle and posture, hip contol, and base is the key.

of course you would use Marcelo video to show me...:) Good one bro. I know he's not a hater...LOL also when Cora is in someone's guard, they have wrist control of her right away and they being stronger than her, they just pulled her in for triangle. Although she fights her way out of the triangle, she still spend a lot amount of time and energy getting out of it.
here is one I found similar to Marcelo's

In the Houston Jiu-jitsu scene, cups are legal at every event other than the IBJJF sponsored ones. Most have cups optional, a few I have done have them mandatory. That’s how it is here, in this/your area.
Best of luck and get well soon Cora. :)
Great vid. They cant control her wrist if she has bicep control.
Here's our own Gabby Bella using all these principles at the beginning of her match. I guarantee her opponent is used to winning from guard, but Gabby nuetralized and defended using solid fundamentals.

Even if Ken wasn't a hater it is a bad tech to use on a guy with a good omoplata. He never really respected it and just figured he could "boom boom boom" out. Clark Gracie made him respect it, and put Ken on the wrong side of getting posterized.

Back to the whole eye contact thing. I think its more important to notice technical things. Does he lead with his right or left leg? Does he stand tall or crouch like a wrestler? Does he keep his elbows in or is he loose? Their ready stance can tell you much more than their eye's when they're game.
Most good guys go in to this blurred daze looking at nothing but seeing everything. Hip or shoulder rotation and level changes while defending grips and ties via periphial vision.
Thank you bobby, we will work on it as soon as Cora heals up. Right now its still very painful for her. She tried to work out yesterday but too much pain still.
