Awesome thank you, Sharing now!
Completely agree. If I were to write my own it would basically be a reworded version of that.
Its a good read, and some more things to think about
Nice. Gonna start looking up Nino Schembri videos now
hard to disagree with any of that. dropping knowledge. thanks jake.
Great list. My # 11 would be agility training. Being able to explosively transition from any position without fear or disorientation is a huge advantage. We spend our whole lives learning to walk with our head over our feet. The more coordination your nervous system has in unorthodox positions the more intelligent mobility you will have yielding more options to attack, escape, pass, whuteva. My warmups look more like capoeria, gymnastics, or breakdancing. The manipulation and control of your body weight is also(imo) the best form of strength training as well. 2 birds 1 stone.
Very good point. Look at Geo and Boogeyman and Bill Cooper and Glover. Besides the inadvertent calisthenic strength from hitting power moves, it also helps with that coordination and orientation. And you see they're all very comfortable in unorthadox positions/transitions. You just dropped some gold bro.
i wish my schedule allowed me to train twice a day
Getting stronger is huge, make the time, it'll make Jiu Jitsu way more fun :)
Good stuff Jake! :)
