My favorite DŽarce escape:-)
Heyyy!! Nice, next time I know this. I keep falling on darces. Lost one match in last tournament fast and embarrassing fashion. Thanks Magnus, need to drill this :)
Yeah Nico!! Im telling you! this work absolutely amazing
Most honorable Danielson! Very nice!
Whats stopping him from just finishing it like a marce?
i think its the angle of the bodies and keeping the elbow tightly in. when he does the wax off the shoulder looks like its pushed out further which im guessing releases the pressure.
thats just my take on it i havnt tried it so i dunno for sure.
and on another note, awesome to see magnus back on the forum, i hope your shoulders getting better. and was that a 10th planet stockholm rashguard that i saw? looks awesome.
Nice one, hopefully you cant counter it with a marce, I will try to remember to test it tonight, but with all the chaos in my head right now I will prawlee forget. Brent, can you test it? :)
You can't turn it into a Marce because the arm is already across the body due to "waxing off" into the armpit. You land with the arm on the wrong side for the marce to work. The only problem that I see with this is that it's more dependent upon the opponent executing the darce with his hips up, as in the video. Low hip posture makes the darce more effective and would make this counter much harder, if not impossible unless you are much bigger and stronger than your opponent. If you check out the vids of both Ryan Hall and Jeff Glover, for example, their free leg is extended back and they keep their hips low. Look at Eddie's hips when he executes the Darce in Mastering the Twister: hips down and sprawled.
Still, looks like a good counter to take advantage of an opponents bad posture during a darce attempt which is pretty common.
Ill test it if I remember myself haha.
I agree you wouldnt be able to finish it if you were to stay in that position after the sweep but if you were to homer simpson towards them that would knock them off their base and finish the marce. Side note this is just breaking it down in my head so I could be completely wrong.
