Gracie details their altercation to*MMA Fighting:

I told him that I liked what he said after the fight, but didn't like the fact that he always talked trash about Royler and my family. He stood up and started yelling, so I also raised the tone of my voice and told him I didn't like it. I'm a vale-tudo fighter. I'm not a fighter to score points of fight with time limit. Let's (fight) with no time limit and with punches allowed. I'm a vale-tudo fighter, I don't compete in (grappling) tournaments."

Sounds about right, whenever I'm bent over, throwing up from the adrenaline dump after grappling with another grown man, my first response to a conversation with someone coming up to me is to stand up and yell.

This is lunacy. Royce wants the credit for being a world-class banger (which he's NOT) and the family wants all the glory for "inventing bjj" but when the sport of jiu jitsu comes toppling down on top of them, forcing them to adapt and open their minds, they want to claim that they invented self defense bjj only--and street lethal fighting. Royce is and has always been a sport fighter, and his "vale tudo" looks an awful lot like gracie bjj to me. UFC 1 was a grappling tournament that had 2 grapplers and a bunch of kickboxers in it. This jerkoff is deluded. I have no respect for Royce, and I'm quite sure the real fighters in that Family don't have any respect for him either.
