Your not paying to add an Avatar, you paying for access to the Mastering the System video library with hundreds of techniques. Jason and Eddie put alot of time and effort into the MTS videos, you can't complain for $4.99/mo when many of the other paid sites charge a hell of alot more. The forum extras are just an added bonus. You can also do all the things you just mentioned here for free as well.

Eddie has put out free material for years, and continues to do so. He has the right to make a few dollars for his intellectual knowledge and hard work as does anyone else.

$60/year is pocket change, if you can't see $60 of value in Eddie and Jason's hard work, debating you isn't going to change your mind. I'd gladly pay double or triple that, in support of their efforts.

This is why everybody has a merchandise range. One can make more money from selling products which also advertises the Brand image and give a person something tangible for their support.

Example

Instead of a $5 membership fee, how about a T-shit with Iron on prints of monthly and updated images from 10th Planet gyms for $20 with P&P. They can be Photoshopped and sent in by anybody who wants to have their design on a T-Shirt. The forum can vote on the winning design or they can be randomly selected.

You can get T-Shits printed up in batches of a few dollars in the fashion district in down town LA for a few dollars per T-shit. You can use a direct print website so you don't have boxes of T-shirts laying around in a garage.

Now supporters gets twelve goofy T-shirts that he or she will be happy to wear around the year and will probably buy for other people to.

Membership fees vs Merchandise is a no brainier. Everybody is at it and making solid money from it.

None one is getting left out in the rain for 4.99/mo., It they are they have far more important issues to concern themselves with than Jiu Jitsu.

Implying that Jon Jones success is due to youtube videos is weak, and will leave it at that.

No one is arguing that Google and Youtube isn't a valuable tool. Eddie still puts out free material as do I.

Cool idea but Chris is right, I would gladly pay more for the information I get from mts. Does 4.99 a month even scratch what it would cost to have him teach u in person? No, enough said.
