tell me if im wrong, but this is no "regular" rubberguard is it? at least this is no position that i know or have been seeing...
in my opinion its harder to pull off from mission control and "impossibe" from new york...especially if you have a good squeeze. i dont think it works too often.
and i think, keeping your posture by planting your hands on the mat isnt a good idea...
Its a leg brabo. Not sure what other names there are for it. Used to see more it in older Ryan Hall and Lloyd Irving vids
That video is gold
I forgot about the pace choke. I meant the position rather than the submission thoughhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBFUI1KmPdEhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBFUI1KmPdE
Fail.
That dude wouldn't last in Eddie's RG. Maybe against someone who is just learning... maybe.
Free hands on the mat, Thankyou!
Excellent. Now I have all the tools I need to defeat Denny.
Man that is the weakest "rubber guard" i have seen. Plus, you don't try use rubber guard to break someone down, you use it once you have someone broken down. Your arm should NEVER be stretched over his back, and he should be using his other arm to grab his ankle. He leaves his hand on the mat as Mr Zog mentioned above and while he's trying to stuff that leg I'm just clearing the neck and putting him in jiu claw/carni.
If you want something that REALLY stops rubber guard, Slick Rick has a move called the Rubber Stamp which seriously works.
I think it's on the forum.
I hate to sound degrading but this is a pretty nonsense video.
