GRACIE NATIONALS Jan 29, Submission Only, 15 minute round, who's going??

GRACIE NATIONALS are January 28 at Los Angeles Convention Center, no points, no advantages, submission only, one 15-minute round. If there is no submission in a match both competitors are out. The is no time limit in the finals.

Sounds pretty bad ass right??

Since we have a big group of students entering, I have negotiated a deal with Rose Gracie. Regular price is $85 and it's going up to $105 on the 7th, but for 10th Planet students it's $65 til the 20th. You must get the special price "code" from your instructor, they have it.

Here are the rules.....

ADULTS
Ages 16 - and up

WHITE & BLUE BELT
NO slams from the guard
NO twisting leg locks of any kind (heel hooks, toe holds and Inverted heel hooks and inverted toe holds )
NO knee bars
NO cervical locks of any kind (NO twisters are allowed)
NO neck locks or cranks of any kind (unless its a choke)
NO calf lock of any kind
NO wrist lock of any kind
NO scissors takedown of any kind

PURPLE & BROWN BELT
NO slam from the guard
NO cervical lock of any kind (unless its a choke)
NO neck cranks or neck locks of any kind
Twisters are ok

Black Belt
No restrictions except the usual hair pulling, eye poking etc…

This one is gonna be a treat for us all! I'm diggin the rules. Change is good. Heck if it goes well, this tourney would be a good candidate to out on bi-annually, Tri-annually, or shux, quarterly even.

DC! That would have been so awesome! 4 years almost to the month! I got introduced to all kinds of stuff in that match, and now we are from the same school! It's too awesome brother!

Gracie Nationals have to come to Canada. Montreal?

Did you have to ask for twisters to be ok in purple or were they automatically cool with it?
