Obviously I still have a TON of things I need to improve on, but I'm hitting the gym every night to slowly improve my game.

You took some good shots bro. Congrats on the win. So if you don't get paid for this, do you have insurance that would pay for stitches if you ever needed them ?
Yeah, I was kinda disappointed my hands were so low, they never are in sparring. I'm still trying to find a good health insurance plan. I've been shopping around the see what I can get and trying to find the best price of course.
Gratz on your win. Work on not getting pounded in the face :P
nice fight. I think your groundgame looks ok exept the pounding in the face, but seems you took it like a champ :P
For a better base standup maybe work some more boxing I find it to be a great way to keep ur wanted distance and it has alot of good counters.
Good luck on ur next fight. hope you post it aswell
@ 2:35 you shove the kid and get up to pat yourself on the back...weak bro.
MISSION CONTROL MISSION CONTROL MISSION CONTROL it would have stopped the beating from guard quite a bit, but good win none the less. Im not sure if that shove wasn't %100 intentional. You were excited as hell and you tried to get up the first time, fell back a little and his back was the first thing to post your hand on. it was just the excitement i bet.... no biggie.
Good win and nice composiour seen alot of free NY oportunities which as been stated before could have controled his posture keeping him from getting extension on the punches from the top and allowed you an opportunity to work some rubber guard.
KyleAkemp. I dont know if you have ever been in an mma fight, but its not always that easy to break a guy down for mission control when he is pounding on you, ur better off trying for an arm or a triangle most of the time or even getting to your side for quarterguard and then working for a sweep or pass. I'd rather say work on ur "failed" triangle options, at about 47secs you had the option to go for the teepee even maybe shift out for the bolt lock.
Yeah, the shove was not intentional at all, I realized I did it, and apologized afterwards. I have nothing but respect for the kid, he's pretty tough. On my triangle I usually have my right leg across the back of the neck, so i started to spin off for the angle that way, and as soon as I did it I knew I had screwed up. I've been working on people trying to ground and pound me from guard and breaking them down so I can eventually work some of my rubber guard. Since I don't train at a 10th planet yet, ( closest one is in Springfield ) I'm still drilling the basics and watching the MTRG dvds trying to make sure my technique is as fluid as it can be without actually being at a 10th planet school. Thanks for all the input guys.
