I highly recommend the Arizer Extreme Vaporizer. Half the cost of a volcano with the same capabilities. You can choose between getting one with or without the fan if you're into using a bag. Includes a remote. There's a really cool wand that comes in handy and it's the one that I've used for the past year or so. Used to work at a head shop and it was by far the best that I had come by. volcanos are cool but they're ridiculously priced. this model also comes with a recharge battery for semi portable use.
I also reccomend ripping off the mouth peice on the whip and running it through a rubber grommet piece with some ice cubes. Takes that popcorn affect away while maintaining the rest of a vaporizers benefits. It's pretty much water vaping. The only way I'd do my thang.
Go to radio shack or walmart and pick up an ac car adapter that does 200 or 250v and you have easier constant access to a well powered unit.
I think the vape is like 250, i skipped on the recharge pack, and depending on the quality of the adapter can be 10 - 80 bucks. I'd get a good one though.
I got a cheap vaporite to test out the whole vape thing and I love it. You can get them al over the web. I want a volcano eventually. Vapes definitely give you the most out of what you smoke. My stuff lasts forever and I chill out almost every night. I have not found any differences in effect in tempurature range that many people talk about. Meaning to me I get the same feelings at 325 as I do at 400. But at 400 it takes less time to cash it out.
Go slow at first and really test the thing out to understand exactly whats going on. The hits are deceptive you get more than you think you do. My wife cant get it right and ends up burning her throat and coughing a lot. I swapped out my mouth piece with one from a corn cob pipe after I dropped the whip and the mouth piece shattered on the counter. I am going to try to find something for the ice chamber that sounds like a great idea.
I like the looks of the new Iolite Wispr, pretty cool for on the go.

ha, I thought this thread was about vaporizer leg lock tips/questions.:D
Why drink gas station coffee when you can go to Starbux. Volcano if you can swing it.
Only problem with the Volcano is that I can't take it with me. We need a mini volcano! I'm definitely going to have to get a car adapter for it. Storz & Bickel's new vaporizer looks kinda like a garden tool, and the Magic Flight Launch Box requires a battery that runs out after 4 uses.
Although I've not used the new Iolite, it looks discreet, is portable, and has good reviews. I can't say what the quality is like compared to a Volcano, but I doubt it'll be anywhere near as good. Needs must though, and it's easier in England to inhale from an external hard drive than light a pipe in public. It uses Butane for it's heating source though, I'd prefer a re-charging system like a phone. That's the only reason I haven't bought it yet.
i just use a cheapo i got on amazon. it does the trick all the same. i woud deff look there first as their prices are much cheaper then any local area head shop in most towns. mine is the simple wood box kind. maybe cost me 40 bucks.
I had a volcano vaporizer. It was the shit, the nice thing about vapour is that it doesn't hurt your lungs.
Extreme Q! Is the only way to go! You can put on gong fittings and hook it to your bong! Get the one with the fan to heat it up only pack the elbow and enjoy!!!!
theres this little wood one that works on a battery. forget the name but its super popular and really good. any site will have it at as a best seller.
Got a Fuzion 240v, wooden affair, looked really nice and was cheap but sadly it burst into flames. Not sure what I did wrong although I dont really have any idea what heat to have it on so thats probably what was up. No idea if it can be fixed. Probably not.
Vapir No2 (170$ish) if your on a budget. If not go volcano (500$ up). Vapir is like a little rechargeable light-saber
Hahahaha I thought this was about the submission! LOLOLOL!
Think I got a winner in this pick. Did some research and thought this one the most to my liking. It's more of a stay at home chill device. I just usually carry papers if I am heading out. Appreciate all the suggestions and if you still got some, keep sending them my way. My bad about the Vaporizer Leg Lock and confusing those that were looking for advice.
I have used the Vapor Brother Hands Free for years. About 1 month ago I bought the iolite portable and I may never plug my Vapor Bros in again.
The iolite is so easy to use. Heats perfectly for every hit and did I mention it is portable?
Why fill a giant balloon or wait 10 minutes for a heating element... trust me the iolite is the shit.
Bump. It's been a little over a year, I'm wondering if anyone has any new suggestions. I was looking into getting a pax ploom, but I keep getting mixed reviews on it. Some people rant and rave about how great it is. Others complain.
Any suggestions?
Pax sucks, go with the Divincci!
The arizer extreme q is great ebay has them for 150, I just recently bought the mvp which is a portable one that i think is mainly used for those tobacco juices but you can get bho adapters and vape honey out of it the hits are huge. I guess it just depends if you want a portable one or one for at home.
Damn, once again coach, your guidance is invaluable. That thing is legit as hell man. I was really hesitant to pay that kinda money for the pax. But that Davinci looks amazing. Glass on glass and the auto steps are amazing.
Thanks for the suggestion Logan. You're right though, I'm looking for something that's pretty portable. I think the Davinci is a perfect fit for me.
This takes me back. One of my first threads. I ended up with the Arizer and it is super legit. Great for burning incense or whatever the box says I am supposed to with it other than smoking weed out of it because I don't do that, because weed gives you cancer and forces you to chop up your loved ones up with an axe (see Reefer Madness for reference)...
I dont like to use a vapo. I much prefer a bubble bong. The high is much much different. I have a Volcano, never gets used unless its an occasion or party. I do like to voporize when I'm preparing for competition... Can feel a big difference in my lung and cardio health.
I second this, I've had mine for a year and a half and it's still great, thing's a tank. It's definitely a stay at home n chill device but that's what you said you were looking for anyway..
I run the extreme q 2.0 but the 4.0 is out now, i've tried both, the 4.0 has smaller incremental adjustments for the temperature, but that's the only difference I could 'see'
Someone mentioned earlier about a little wooden box vaporizer.
If it's the same as mine it's a "Magic Flight" small and battery operated. Not really great (you can't control the temp and it can overheat) but if you know what you are doing (not too stoned) it's alright, especially for a discreet hit pretty much anywhere.
I think the website is www.magic-flight.com
Vapes are like computers! I have the Cano as a stationary, and the magic flight as a portable! :}
I can recommend both of them! Both are pricy tho. I haven't tried any other vapes.
The cano is a noisy son of a bitch, it's not stealthy sound-wise, at night.
It conceals smell to a certain degree, and you can use a super sploof with that, and there's no smell at all. Neighbours might think you are cranking up some sort of massage instrument at nights, that bothers me.
The magic flight vape is the size of a matchstick box, and makes no sound.
So I use the cano during the daytime, and the small vape at nights.
I would love to have a hand-blown glass bong, the detailed artsy kind, but they are super expensive, and I try to stay off the tobacco anyways.
I use the Extreme Q Tower, and I love it! Doest fill bags as quick as the Volcano, but is a very nice unit at less than half the price of the cheaper version of Volcano. Plus I really like having the little remote contol, it's really convenient. :)
Pax is completely over rated. It's absolutely horrible as far as a Vape is concerned. Good if you are going to be at an outdoor event and you are trying to be all discreet (it looks like an ipod). But...its a huge waste and doesn't really get the job done. Not sure why it gets such great reviews...I think they are from people who have never used a vape before. Clearly. I have the No2. ALLDAY! Use a little. Feel a lot. I can charge it and take it with me or sit in bed with it plugged in. Works great! The only downside is maintaining it. It has two filters that I clean with a pipe cleaner every time I use it. Once a month I soak it with Formula 420 cleaner, and it sparkles. Just make sure you rinse it real well, otherwise, you will be all jacked up on fumes. Seriously...I use it every night. My lungs are not affected one bit. Thank God, because that tobacco...heard it kills you. I also heard the Divinci is pretty decent, I also want to try the PUFFiT.
Volcanos are on craigslist all the time for half price in new condition. Ive bought and sold them.
Health Stone Glass or a Ceramic Nail. Concentrate it gets budder :)
