Melee Fight Gear, whats the story?

around 6 months ago i tried ordering a tshirt but they didnt have my size, oh well...so i tried anonther color, they didnt have my size again. melee was virtually out of every style in medium and large. when i sent an email i was told they would have more stock in a week. needless to say it never happened i sent 2 more emails over the next 3 weeks and i always got the same answer. give us another week.

about a month ago i tried again, this time looking for a sweatshirt and same story. 2 emails and 3 weeks later and no new sizes. dont get me wrong they have been great responding to emails but when it comes to getting merch they have been pretty bad. i have never tried so hard to give someone my money.

since joining the nibiru forum roughly a week ago i read up on some older posts and it seems others have had issues too. i also read a post where eddie himself said that melee could only sell what they currently had in stock as he was not in partnership with them anymore. if this is true why would melee on 2 occasions for weeks tell me they were getting more sizes and continue to field emails? if anyone could help clear things up i would greatly appreciate it. i dont want to keep bothering these guys if they have no way of selling me my specific size.

Yeah basically Eddie isnt partnered with them anymore. I took it as they were to sell what they had and couldnt reprint anything so Im not sure why they would tell you to give them a week. Maybe hes hoping to keep eddie on board

I have been trying to order shit from melee for few months now aswell so this has given me the heads up! Can't get 10P gear anywhere in the uk,it's like rocking horse shit.......very rare haha

They had medium brown belt shirts....pretty good for me.

Go to budovideos.com. they have gear...not alot but they havtle the shorts rashguards and a zipup hoody

I cant wait until Eddie is selling all the gear here/on 10p website. The prices melee charge for shipping to the UK etc is an absolute pisstake. Especially if only ordering an item or 2 like patches. :-)

From what i've seen, Melee is producing the stuff and charging retail price full stop. This is very common in the paintball world.
Ideally, the producer would charge wholesale, then 10th Planet affiliates would be able to charge retail price and everybody gets to pocket some profit to pay the bills.

(note this is just what i've seen, i could be talking completely out of turn here.)

For sure bro. If i was still in the MMA gear retail business i would sell 10p stuff without a doubt.

Yeah mate its in strood, been out for a while coz i tore my shoulder and then when it healed the club i was bouncing at shut down so i had no money to train (was training full time so was expensive) so only training a few times a week at the mo :( good gym though ! Cant wait to train full time again lol

That has nothing to do with Melee, thats the prices set by the shipping companies.

Well if that is the case they need to find new 'shippers'.
I have posted to the states MANY times when i had my online MMA store and never once charged even a quarter of what they do, and for much heavier objects. Same goes for when i have had stuff sent to me from the states, i have never paid/seen paid anywhere near what they charge, even for packages 2kg+ in weight. All i wanted was 2 10th planet patches LOL. I shouldn't have to pay $12 per patch (obviously i am cool with paying that part), then $40+ for shipping, and then that is not even taking into consideration the $40 customs charges we most likely would have to pay on top of that just to get the item delivered because they have held it back. You could actually ship those 2 patches to the UK from the USA via usps for under $2 (actually $1.75), i just checked.
If the shipping charges were half way reasonable i am certain sales would increase - if melee had the stock. Anyway, i am sure it is something Eddie will look at before transferring everything over, and melee stopping distribution in December. :-)

Ok so through out all these post there was no specific answer given?!? I just got my blue belt about 3 weeks ago and i went online to the site to get a shirt and came across the same problem none in my size....sooooo were do us Ronin warriors go to get our gear?!? I wanna rep my school in tournaments. Is eddie gonna set up to sell gear on here, or go through another outside vender?? I think offering all gear on here that would be much easier, and make it official, also maybe the funds generated from the merch sales could go towards lower the price of the traincation? Just a thought

I think there is a contract issue or something with Melee......i think when thats over at the end of the year eddie will be selling his stuff directly from here.....until then....the only thing available is whats out there.....they aren't going to restock anything....i have been waiting myself

Hey Guys...so here's the deal. Eddie is planning on doing his own thing with apparel, but that may take a while to get up and running. In the meantime, Melee is still making, selling, and restocking 10th Planet Gear. I know that stuff has been out of stock, but we just did a huge restock of Tshirts and hoodies. Anyone can feel free to contact me directly at steven@meleefightgear.com with any questions or concerns.

As for shipping to the UK, we don't make up the prices, we just charge what the USPS charges us...we are looking into other shipping options.

same happened to me just dont buy it from them. Try budovideos or until Eddie opens his store. That's what I'm doing
