Congrats to 10th Planet Rochester's Bryan & Anthony Alves on thier Hybrid MMA wins!

Bryan wins 56 secs in the first rd via Reverse Triangle and Anthony Alves wins via tko ref stoppage his opponent was unable to answer the bell for the second rd, Anthony put a Muay Thai clinic breaking his opponents foot (with a compound fracture of his big toe) due to leg kicks.

Both guys did amazing, so very proud!

The rules where a bit diffrent (Ammy MMA just became legal, but they were still using the Hybrid rules until the next show). Coin toss determines whether a round is Submission Grappling, Muay Thai or San Shou (Muay Thai with takedowns).

Awesome match! He prob didn't expect the reverse triangle. Props to your opponent for getting out of the armbar. It looked deep.

Anthony Fight:

The other corner, won the coin toss and picked Muay Thai as he was worried about Anthony's Jiu Jitsu when he saw his team mate get beat by Bryan earlier.

It's unfortunate for Anthony's opponet be he had a compound fracture of his foot/ big toe and was taken away in an ambulance, we think from one of Anthony's leg kicks.

There are Hybrid rules used in New York State to skirt around the MMA ban. However since ammy MMA is now legal they will be switching to ammy MMA after the next show, as they want to finish the 145 tournament. Anthony will be fighting in the finals in August.

If your refering to the cartwheel escape, yes its common when someone attempts the cross body armbar when they are stomach down.

Bryan is also in the semi finals of the 155lb div of the Inkosi Muay Thai Fight Promotion as well.
