I think it's really competitive to open a school there now with so many other big names competing again each other like Throwdown Center, Xtreme Couture, TapOut Center, Robert Drysdale ect. Lots of world class instruction.

There is definitely a lot of competition. I was hoping there would be some Vegas people on the forum who trained on the side in the meantime...until there are enough to make it worthwhile
There should be a moon in Vegas for sure, its the mecca of MMA
I think there are a couple guys on this forum that are from vegas..Cant think of any off the top of my head. Have you checked Kendell Madden's 10th Planet map? It shows all the 10th planet people around the world.Quote:

Edit: I just checked it and theres nobody that has entered their location in NV at all lol. But you could be the first and in the future somebody could contact you. Ive had 3 people message me about trying to find some training in Medford so the map works.

I plan on moving to henderson nevada right out side of vegas next june...
Almost every school in Vegas trains nogi a lot, so no reason not to train elsewhere.
I train/work at Cobra Kai, we have nogi everyday. I know Murdoch or openmatradio trains at Sergio's if you want his perspective on the Vegas grappling scene.
IMO, just subscribe to MTS and pick a good school. You wont get as solid of a 10P grasp but you'll definitely still become a solid grappler.

Thats why I'm looking at Cobra Kai. Jsect just doesnt have the no gi schedule tha fits me, and I really don't care to train gi.

Herb Rhea is a 10th Planet Gang member. He trains with Vinny at Xtreme Couture.
I live on the south side of Vegas close to Henderson. If there was a 10th Planet out here i would have joined but i did Drysdale instead. Its been GREAT!
So many good schools in town it's hard to pick. I would say the same thing Sergio says, try them out and see what fits you best. I know a lot of the coaches in town and they're all solid guys that run great teams. I talked a little about this is our last podcast. Whatever team fits you best is the best for you. You'll be the one to decide that.
I'll be moving to vegas sometime next year.
Already visited it before, and I'm hours from anyplace nice to train here in Texas, so I'll probably see about getting set up someplace there.
Would be great to finally see some 10th planet stuff in person.

Mitchell i am moving out hteir in june of next year..i been scouting out places myself... I looked at all the schools i plan on visiting all of them to see which one i like.. i think they are all good schools.

i train at sunset boxing and mma and im pretty much self taught 10th planet lol weve got a no gi jiu jitsu class mondays and wensdays were located right next to the galleria mall in henderson nevada come check us out! (: id love to see a 10th planet gym in vegas too and ive posted a thread about it before. if you want great training close to 10th planet vinny magalhes is your man down at extreme couture
and there is gonna be a seminar november 3rd in vegas according to the latest mastering the system video. not sure if its an actuall seminar by eddie or just a 10th planet seminar either way im goin! just a heads up its the next best thing to training at an actual 10thp gym
